Specially bad with how item scales (but that goes for the "hate" section). Too much reliance on random generated gear. Having different talents on different enemies would be even better.

Having Opportunist on some enemies would always be nice, however. Speaking of which, having Opportunist on pretty much every single melee enemy really undercuts the usage and utility of general movement, undercutting another layer of Divinity 2 strategy and combat possibilities, since once you are close to an enemy 90% of the time it is either better to hit it till you kill it or use some movement/teleport skill such as Phoenix Dive and Battering Ram. Talents should be for more circunstancial or unique abilities in my view. AT LEAST those two should be unlocked and not consume points for every offensive build, I don't know, by level 10 or 15, since there is not much of a choice to use them. Some are just too powerful not to be used in all builds, with Opportunist being a prime example of being a must-have on all melee builds. Cripple can work against enemies who have 30% physical armor and so on.

Shocked, however, can work against enemies with less than 25% of their original magic armor value. Examples: sleep only works when enemy attacked has 0% magic armor left, same for knockdown for phy.armor. I think a better implementation of this would be to make that certains statuses work on certain percentages of armor. It just really donwgrades the strategic layer of combat. The armor system nullifying pretty much all statuses.
Divinity original sin 2 reloaded mods#
Larian mods used: Randomized Encounters and sorting bags.ĭespite this post containing plenty of hate I absolutely loved this game overall, so I made another post under a similar title with all the praise I have for it.
Divinity original sin 2 reloaded full#
Party composition: OC as a full archer, Fane as a Pyro/Geomancer mage with shield and wand, Lohse as a rogue and Ifan as a tanky Necro/warfare focused two handed warrior. After completing my first Divinity Original Sin 2: Definitive Edition run, I decided to make two really long separate posts regarding my overall experience and thoughts.
